Pakistan squad vs ODI and T20I series vs Australia: The PCB on Sunday (October 27) announced the Pakistan squad for ODI and T20I series against Australia. Former captain Babar Azam and pacers Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah have been picked for the squad, while senior batter Fakhar Zaman has been dropped.
However, the new white-ball captain of Pakistan cricket team is yet to be revealed.PCB Chair Mohsin Naqvi will unveil Pakistan's white-ball captain in a media conference in Lahore on Sunday at 3.30 PM.
Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah were dropped from the Pakistan squad for the last two Tests against England. The trio have been picked for the ODI and T20I series against Australia, but rested for the six white-ball matches in Zimbabwe following the Australia tour. Mohammad Rizwan has also been rested for the T20Is against Zimbabwe.

"This approach follows the selectors' rotation policy and provides opportunities to domestic performers, aligning with the team's strategy for the ICC Champions Trophy and beyond," PCB said in its release.
Kamran Ghulam, Omair Bin Yousuf and Sufyan Moqim have got their maiden national call-up, while Jahandad Khan and Salman Ali Agha join the Pakistan T20I squad for the first time.
Aamir Jamal, Arafat Minhas, Faisal Akram, Haseebullah, Muhammad Irfan Khan, and Saim Ayub are the uncapped players in the ODI squad.
"Seven ODI squad members - Babar Azam, Faisal Akram, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Hasnain, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Naseem Shah, and Shaheen Shah Afridi - will depart for Melbourne on Monday, 28 October, with the remaining ODI players leaving on Tuesday, 29 October. Pakistan's white-ball coach, Gary Kirsten, will join the squad in Melbourne on 28 October," the PCB release added.
