Lucknow, Nov 11 (UNI) The visiting Pakistan Team today asked for a substitute wicket keeper to replace Kamran Akmal, who suffered a finger injury.
Media coordinator of the Pakistan cricket team Javed Akhtar said, ''The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been urged to send an additional wicket keeper at the earliest.'' He said Kamran played with the wounded finger in today's ODI at Kanpur match and the injury had aggravated.
Mr Akhtar, however, said the PCB would decide whom to send in as Kamran's replacement, but made it clear that the new wicket keeper would be available before the next match at Gwalior on November 15.
Earlier, both Team India and Pakistani players were given a warm welcome at an event sponsored by Sahara Parivar to welcome both the teams in the state capital.
