Pakistan Cricket Board has unveiled a new jersey for the national team ahead of the ICC World Cup 2023 on Monday (August 28).

The Babar Azam-led side will be wearing the new star-shaped kit in the ODI World Cup. They will officially wear the kit for the first time in the upcoming Asia Cup which starts from Wednesday (August 30).

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf led the jersey unveiling ceremony at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Their new star-embodied jersey reflects the country's achievements and aspirations.

"The Star Nation Jersey signifies more than a mere piece of apparel; it embodies the profound connection between Pakistan's cricketing heroes and their steadfast supporters. Drawing inspiration from celestial bodies, each star symbolises brilliance, aspiration, and the radiant glow of cricketing achievements. This design philosophy encapsulates the spirit of cricketing excellence, resonating deeply with every Pakistani cricket enthusiast," a statement from PCB read.

"The Star Nation Jersey bears witness to the enduring bond between our cricketers and the passionate fans who stand by them through every match. This jersey encapsulates our rich cricketing heritage and the luminous future that awaits," PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf said.
