Series already sealed, Pakistan will look to complete a white-wash when they face Afghanistan in the third and final ODI at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday (August 26).
After winning convincing in the series opener by 142 runs at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Cricket Stadium in Hambantota, Pakistan overcame a scare on Thursday (August 24) thanks to Naseem Shah's last over heroics to claim a 1-wicket win that sealed the series.

Now, Pakistan and Afghanistan will clash for the first time at the R Premadasa Stadium Colombo, where the former have 12 matches at the venue. This will be Afghanistan’s first ODI outing at the venue. This match will also be the final warm up for both teams ahead of next week's Asia Cup 2023.
The R Premadasa Stadium has hosted 140 ODI matches so far with most recent being the three-match series between Sri Lanka and Australia in June 2022. Pakistan lasted played an ODI in 2015 at the venue in Colombo.
