Babar Azam-led Pakistan, who bundled out Nepal for 104 after setting a target of 343, were only able to complete one innings in their contest against India, conceding 266 despite getting early wickets.
Shakib Al Hasan's Bangladesh, on the other hand, bundled out Afghanistan for 245 after setting a target of 335 in their most recent match. In their tournament opener, Bangladesh were bowled out for 164 and in response Sri Lanka chased down the target with 11 overs to spare.
This will be Bangladesh's second match of the Asia Cup 2023 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, where Pakistan, the home side, will play their first match at the venue in this tournament. But the hosts possess a brilliant record in Lahore, where they have won 33 of 54 matches.
