Pakistan vs Bangladesh Test Series 2024: Pakistan are set to host Bangladesh in a 2-Test series starting Wednesday, August 21 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The two matches are part of the ICC World Test Championship series.
The series will give Pakistan a chance to get back in contention to qualify for the one-off final at Lord's in 2025. Pakistan are currently placed sixth on the nine-team WTC 2023-25 points table after losing three of their five Test matches.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, are currently at the eighth spot, with three defeats in four matches. Najmul Hossain Shanto will have the onus of leading a Bangladesh side amid severe political unrest back home.
Pakistan have taken the decision to enter the first Test with an all pace attack, with left-arm quick Shaheen Afridi and returning quick Naseem Shah likely to spearhead a fast bowling group that also includes Khurram Shehzad and Mir Hamza.
Aamer Jamal has been ruled out after failing to recover from a back injury. Spinner Abrar Ahmed and Kamran Ghulam have been released to play for Pakistan Shaheens.
Further, Pakistan have lost their last three Tests, while Bangladesh have also lost their last three games in the longest format.
