Pakistan have an immediate chance of redemption after mauling at the hands of Bangladesh as they take on England in a Test series in October.
But Shan Masood and co may have to do with outside of their own country as the series is likely to be moved out of Pakistan.

The first Test was initially scheduled from October 7 to October 11 in Multan, with the second and third Tests planned for Karachi and Rawalpindi. Currently, construction work is ongoing at these venues as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) prepares for the Champions Trophy 2025. Halting construction for the Test series could significantly impact PCB's plans for the Champions Trophy.
The series might be relocated due to incomplete stadium preparations, with potential venues being the UAE or Sri Lanka. This series is part of the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.
PCB is exploring alternative locations for the series. The UAE is being considered, but scheduling conflicts with the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup, running from October 3 to October 20, complicate this option. Sri Lanka is likely to be the new destination given the availability of the stadiums in the island country.
The final decision will be made after discussions with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). Pakistan enters this series following a series loss to Bangladesh, which has dented their chances of progression to the WTC final. Despite this setback, they aim to deliver a strong performance against England.
With seven matches left in their WTC cycle, Pakistan will have to win almost all of their remaining matches to have any realistic chance of progression. Along with that, Shan Masood's team will also have to rely on Australia and New Zealand dropping points.
