Hello and Welcome to the Live coverage of Ireland vs Pakistan warm-up encounter in the T20 World Cup 2026. The match is set to take place at the SSC in Colombo. We are less than 30 minutes away from the start.
Pakistan, after recent series win against Australia, seeks rhythm ahead of their Group stage opener; recent T20Is show batting firepower but bowling leaks, with Babar Azam and Saim Ayub key in partnerships. Ireland, buoyed by upsets like their 2024 WC win over Pakistan, relies on Paul Stirling and Mark Adair's all-round threat, though spin-vulnerable on Colombo pitches.
Pakistan are set to play all of their T20 World Cup 2026 matches in Sri Lanka. If Salman Ali Agha and team qualify for the final, the championship clash would also be moved to Colombo from Ahmedabad.
Pakistan leads 6-2 in 8 T20Is, including a 3-wicket thriller in Florida (2024 WC) and 6-wicket Dublin win (May 2024); Ireland's lone recent scalp was a 5-wicket chase. No prior T20Is in Sri Lanka between them.
