Pakistan will look to extend the series lead when they host New Zealand in the third T20I of the five-match series at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on Sunday (April 21).
After Rain played spoilsport in the series opener on Thursday (April 18), Babar Azam-led side registered a 7-wicket win over Michael Bracewell’s Blackcaps at the same venue on Saturday (April 20).

Shaheen Shah Afridi, who struck in the second ball of the abandoned 1st T20I, was once again the wrecker in chief as the pace spearhead claimed three wickets to help bundle out New Zealand to 92 all-out at the Pindi Stadium.
Mohammad Amir, Abrar Ahmed and Shadab Khan also claimed two wickets each, while Naseem Shah was also in the wicket column with a solitary wicket as Mark Chapman top-scored for the Kiwis with 19.
Pakistan were pegged back early in the run-chase, but Mohammad Rizwan scored an unbeaten 45 off 34 balls to see the side home and helped the hosts take a 1-0 lead before the third T20I.
The two sides will meet once again in Rawalpindi before they head to Lahore for the final two matches in the series. This will be their fourth match at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, where New Zealand had won back in 2023, when they chased the highest total at the venue.
