Pakistan will look to bounce back and finish the five-match series on level terms when they lock horns with New Zealand in the fifth and final T20I at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Saturday (April 27).
After Rain played spoilsport in the series opener on Thursday (April 18), Babar Azam-led side registered a 7-wicket win over Michael Bracewell’s Blackcaps at the same venue on Saturday (April 20).

However, the hosts were given a reality check by the visitors in the next two T20Is, when Mark Chapman’s unbeaten 87 off 42 balls saw the Kiwis chase down 179 with 7 wickets and 10 balls to spare to level the series at 1-1.
The visitors followed that result with a 4-run win in the most recent outing at the Lahore venue when they won by 4 runs, defending a total of 178 against a strong Pakistan team..
The two sides will clash for the fifth time at the Gaddafi Stadium, where Pakistan won twice and New Zealand also has won twice in the previous four meetings in the shortest format in 2023.
Rain played spoilsport in the Rawalpindi leg of the series after the match was a wash out. So, how will the weather and pitch play in Lahore? What is the T20 record at the venue?
Here is a look at the Gaddafi Stadium Pitch Report, Weather Forecast, T20 stats, top performers, numbers and records at the Lahore venue in the shortest format ahead of PAK vs NZ 5th T20I:
It is expected to be a cloudy evening after thunderstorms in the noon in Lahore on Saturday (April 27) with temperature expected to be as high as 27°C during the playing hours.
Rain prediction for Lahore on April 27: As per AccuWeather and Weather.com, there is no chance of showers or thunderstorms during the playing hours, but there is rain in the lead up to the start. So, the NZ vs PAK match may see some interruption or delay due to weather.
The pitches at the venue are known for their flat nature, producing run-feasts. The wickets also provide good bounce, assisting the quicks and the slower bowlers as the game progresses.
Earlier this year in PSL, we saw the teams post big totals and also chase down some. In the previous T20I also we saw Pakistan almost pull off a run chase of 179. So, the wicket is expected to remain same if there is no rain.
