Pakistan vs New Zealand Injury Update: These Two Players Are Ruled Out With Injuries Before Tournament Could Start

By Puja Roy

Pakistan vs New Zealand: New Zealand's preparations for the upcoming T20 series against Pakistan have been rocked by significant setbacks. Opener Finn Allen and pace bowler Adam Milne have been sidelined due to injuries sustained just before the team's departure.

Allen's back injury and Milne's ankle problem have ruled them out of contention for the series, leaving a void in the team's batting and bowling departments. Coach Gary Stead expressed sympathy for the sidelined players, acknowledging their crucial roles in the team since the last World Cup.

However, he remains optimistic about their recovery, with the support staff and medical networks working closely with them for their treatment and eventual return to cricket.

In their absence, the team has named replacements in wicketkeeper-batsman Tom Blundell and all-rounder Zak Foulkes. Blundell, with prior experience touring Pakistan, is expected to provide stability to the batting lineup and take over wicketkeeping duties. Meanwhile, Foulkes, making his debut in the Blackcaps squad, brings impressive skills with both bat and ball, particularly showcased in T20 cricket for the Kings.

Despite the setbacks, the New Zealand squad is gearing up for the series, which begins on April 18th in Rawalpindi. With three matches in Pindi and two in Lahore, the team aims to regroup and put forth a competitive performance against Pakistan's formidable lineup, led by Babar Azam.

The series promises to be an exciting clash between two talented sides, with both teams eager to make their mark in the T20 format. While New Zealand faces challenges with key players sidelined, they remain determined to adapt and compete at their best in the upcoming matches.
