Confirmation from PCB's official handle that the covers are yet to be taken off it's surely not raining at the moment. However, players are yet to be out on the field to warm-up before the match, which leaves a doubt on the outfield's condition

While we are 45 minutes away from the toss, local media points out that no roof stands of the Pindi Cricket Stadium will make it an uncomfortable experience for the fans, especially for those seats with clothes on it and are drenched following the rain.
Not the best arrangement made by the organisers, especially when the rain forecast is making rounds for days now

Rain clouds gather over Rawalpindi, casting a shadow of uncertainty over the much-anticipated clash between Pakistan and New Zealand in the first T20 match, scheduled to kick off at 7:30 PM local time
The ominous weather forecast has raised concerns among cricket enthusiasts, with fears that the inclement weather could disrupt the match proceedings. Rawalpindi, known for its unpredictable weather patterns, has experienced unexpected rain interruptions in previous matches, including a memorable T20 encounter between Pakistan and New Zealand that was marred by hailstorms.
The impending rain not only poses a threat to the match itself but also raises questions about Pakistan's preparations for the upcoming T20 World Cup. With the Men in Green slated to play 13 matches, including eight fixtures during the Ireland and England tour, any interruptions due to rain could hamper their readiness for the global tournament.
The return of Babar Azam to the white-ball captaincy duties, along with the comeback of seasoned campaigners like Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim from injury, underscores the importance of getting as much match practice as possible ahead of the T20 World Cup. However, the unpredictable weather in Rawalpindi adds a layer of complexity to Pakistan's preparation plans.
