Pakistan will take on South Africa in the ICC World Cup 2023 Match 26 on Friday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
It promises to be a massive encounter between the two sides, especially for Pakistan. A defeat for Babar Azam and co. can dampen their semifinal hopes big time and thus two points will be crucial for them. For South Africa, the first half has panned out according to the plan except the blip against the Netherlands. But they are still to play India, New Zealand - hence a win in this match can also prove to be a massive one for them.

Pakistan are without any injury issues but they may make some changes in the team. The bowling and fielding was abysmal against Afghanistan and there have to be changes in that. In terms of personnel, there are not many options but we may witness Mohammad Nawaz making a return, replacing the below-par Usama Mir.
South Africa are a team in form and their batting, fielding and bowling all are clicking at the moment. The Proteas will be keen to showcase their authority over the shaky Pakistan side. Temba Bavuma fell ill and has missed the last two matches. It is to be seen whether he comes back or not. But the Proteas may bring back Lungi Ngidi in the side in place of Lizaad Williams.
