PAK vs WI 3rd ODI Highlights: West Indies Defeat Pakistan By 202 Runs To Clinch Series

PAK vs WI 3rd ODI, AS IT Happened: Jayden Seales delivered a career-best 6-18 to lead West Indies to a 202-run victory over Pakistan, clinching the ODI series 2-1. After West Indies were put into bat, a slow start saw them at 113-4, but Shai Hope's unbeaten 120 and Roston Chase's 36 revived the innings.

Justin Greaves' quickfire 43 helped set a total of 294. Seales dismantled Pakistan's top order early and, supported by Gudakesh Motie and Chase, bowled them out for 92. This win marked West Indies' first ODI series triumph over Pakistan in 34 years. Seales' 10 wickets in the series earned him Player of the Series, while Hope's century moved him closer to legends Brian Lara and Chris Gayle in ODI hundreds for West Indies.

It has been a mixed tour for the Caribbean side so far. They began by conceding the T20I series 1-2, and their struggles carried over into the first ODI, where Pakistan registered a convincing victory. However, the hosts roared back in the rain-affected second ODI, producing a strong all-round performance to secure a five-wicket win and keep the series alive.

Shai Hope's men will carry that momentum into the finale, buoyed by the belief that they can get the better of Pakistan under pressure. On the other hand, Mohammad Rizwan's men will look to quickly shake off the disappointment of the last match and channel their focus towards sealing the ODI series. With pride and momentum at stake, neither side will want to give an inch.

The Brian Lara Stadium is expected to provide a stern test for batters. The pitch traditionally offers early assistance to fast bowlers, particularly with the new ball, which could make the opening overs crucial. Seamers from both camps will be eager to exploit any movement available, while spinners may come into play as the game wears on and the surface starts to grip. Batting is likely to get easier once set, but rotating strike and building partnerships will remain key.

Given the venue's conditions, the toss could prove important. Teams are likely to prefer bowling first, hoping to make the most of any morning movement and chase under lights when the pitch tends to play more consistently.

With the series on the line and both teams eyeing a morale-boosting victory, fans can expect a fiercely competitive encounter. Whether it's the Windies riding the wave of their recent win or Pakistan bouncing back with resilience, the final ODI in Trinidad has all the makings of a gripping conclusion to this closely fought series.
