Pakistan Champions defeated West Indies Champions by 20 runs to book their final berth in the inaugural World Championship of Legends tournament - WCL 2024 on Friday (July 12) at the County Cricket Ground in Northampton, England.
After skipper Younis Khan fifty powered Pakistan to 198 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs, Sohail Khan did the damage with the ball to bundle out West Indies for 178 All Out in 19.5 overs.

Sohail finished with figures of 4 for 21 and went on to win the player of the match award as his spell helped Pakistan reach the final, where they could face either arch rivals India or Australia on Saturday (July 13).
For West Indies, Ashley Nurse top-scored with 36 off 24 balls, while Rayad Emrit also scored 29 off 9 balls. Openers Chris Gayle and Dwayne Smith, who never looked like they got off the blocks, 22 off 21 balls, and 26 off 24 balls respectively were next highest scorers.
Defending 199, Sohail Khan struck in his very first over to remove the dangerous Gayle for 22 assisted by a spectacular catch by fellow pacer Wahab Riaz. An over later, Sohail cleaned up Chadwick Walton to put Pakistan in the driver's seat.
Riaz claimed two wickets and executed a run out, while Shoaib Malik also added a couple of wickets and Kamran Akmal, who contributed with bat, pulled off an excellent run out to put the tie beyond reach for West Indies before Sohail returned to clean up the tail.
Earlier put into bat, Pakistan lost in-form trio Sharjeel Khan, Shoaib Maqsood and Shoaib Malik very quickly, leaving the team at 10 for 3 in 2 overs after Jerome Taylor and Fidel Edwards rolled back the years of their fast bowling partnership.
While Taylor removed Sharjeel for a duck, Edwards dismissed Maqsood and Malik for 1 and a duck respectively, leaving Pakistan in a spot of bother inside 2 overs of the match.
However, Kamran (46 off 31 balls) and skipper Younis (65 off 45 balls) steadied ship and shared a 79-run stand to take Pakistan closer to 100 before quickfire cameos from Aamer Yamin (40* off 18 balls) and Sohail Tanvir (33 off 17 balls) pushed the team closer 200.
Tanvir and Aamer in fact added 61 runs in 25 balls, smashing 5 sixes and 5 fours during their knocks. For West Indies, Edwards was the best bowler with figures 3 for 24 in 4 overs, while Sulieman Benn added two wickets. Smith and Taylor finished with 1 wicket each.
