Two members of the Pakistan Women's cricket team, Bismah Maroof and Ghulam Fatima, experienced minor injuries following a car accident on Friday (April 5).
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that both players received prompt first aid and are now under the supervision of the board's medical team. This incident comes at a crucial time as both cricketers are part of a training camp preparing for the upcoming home series against the West Indies.

The series, which is eagerly anticipated, includes three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and five Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), all scheduled to be held at the National Stadium in Karachi. This marks a significant phase for the Women in Green as they aim to showcase their talent against the formidable team from the Caribbean later this month.
Both Maroof and Fatima bring a wealth of experience and skill to the table. Maroof, who captained the Pakistani team from 2013 to 2020, and Fatima were instrumental in Pakistan's last ODI series in New Zealand in December.
Despite the team's series loss with a score of 1-2, Maroof emerged as the third-highest run-scorer for Pakistan, contributing 89 runs across three matches, including a standout performance of 68 off 86 balls in the final ODI. Fatima, on her part, led the bowling attack with six wickets at an average of 28.67, ending the series as the leading wicket-taker.
The upcoming series against West Indies holds particular significance as the ODIs are part of the ODI Women's Championship. The West Indies team, having announced their squad last month, is also gearing up with a preparatory camp in Dubai starting from April 6.
With Maroof having played 133 ODIs and 140 T20Is, and Fatima, who debuted internationally in 2017, having participated in 15 ODIs and five T20Is, their contributions will be crucial for Pakistan's performance.
