A total of nine players have been picked in both the ODI and the T20I squads. They are: Babar, Naseem, Rizwan, Salman, and Shaheen, Arafat Minhas, Haris Rauf, Haseebullah and Muhammad Irfan Khan. If this gives any hint, Rizwan is indeed the favourite to be named the new white-ball captain of Pakistan. But because the wicketkeeper-batter has been rested from the Zimbabwe T20Is, a new captain will have to be named for the three-match series.
