Australia captain Glenn Maxwell has opened up on Glenn Maxwell's alcohol-related incident in an Adelaide pub where he collapsed and was taken to a hospital briefly last Friday.
As per reports in media, Maxwell went to watch Six and Out, the band that features former Australia pacer Brett Lee, when the incident took place at live music venue The Gov.

The details about what happened inside is still unknown, but the 2023 World Cup-winning all-rounder reportedly collapsed and had to be taken to an Adelaide hospital. However, his stay there was short.
Ahead of the second Test match against West Indies which starts in Brisbane from Thursday, January 25, Cummins played down the matter saying that Maxwell was not on national duty and attending a private event. However, he added that players need to take their own decisions as adults.
"We're all adults, been part of night outings, you have got to make your own decisions. I suppose in this actual incident, he was obviously not on tour with the Australians, he was over there for a private event, he was not with the cricket team. So, it is a little bit different. Absolutely, any decision that you make, you have got to own it and be comfortable with it," Cummins said in a press conference ahead of the second Test.
Cricket Australia in a release said that it is aware of the incident involving Maxwell and is seeking further information. It added that Maxwell's name was missing from Australia's squad for the West Indies ODIs for workload management, and not because of his latest misdemeanour.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star, who last week stepped down as captain of BBL side Melbourne Stars after failing to make the final, was not named in the 13-man squad to face the West Indies in a three-match ODI series from February 2. Maxwell is likely to return for the T20I leg which starts in Hobart from February 9.
"Cricket Australia is aware of an incident involving Glenn Maxwell in Adelaide at the weekend and is seeking further information. It is not related to him being replaced in the ODI squad, a decision that was made following the BBL and based on his individual management plan. Maxwell is expected to return for the T20 series. No further comment will be made at this time."
Maxwell had broken his leg in late 2022 after slipping while running at a friend's 50th birthday and was out of the game for more than three months.
