The IPL has always been a platform for leaders to emerge and guide their teams through the highs and lows of this most thrilling of leagues. Star India all-rounder Hardik Pandya, leading the Gujarat Titans, has quickly made his mark by reaching the finals twice, winning once and losing once. However, his performance in his debut season as the captain of the Mumbai-based franchise has been a forgettable one.
Iyer, who has captained both Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders, has led his teams to the finals twice. He failed to lift the title as Delhi Capitals' skipper as his team lost the IPL 2020 final against Rohit Sharma-led MI. His second final appearance is yet to be played, marking him as a captain to watch in the future.
