Pawar inaugurates MCA website www.mumbaicricket.com

Mumbai, Jun 23 (UNI) The website of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) www.mumbaicricket.com was today formally inaugurated by its president Sharad Pawar here today.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Pawar, who is also the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), said that the Indian cricket board should take a leaf out of the MCA and see that its own website is launched soon.

He also lauded the office bearers of the MCA in helping to make this website operationa.

He further said that the website would have all the latest news regarding Mumbai cricket, team selections, MCA meetings and all news pertaining to Mumbai cricket on the website. A person would be able to get all the updated news regarding Mumbai cricket and the MCA if he logs on to the website.

The website would initially have 500 pages containing all the details about Mumbai cricket, including tournaments some of which are more than half a century old and players with their career stats, it was informed on the occasion.

The site has been set up by cricketer-turned-computer professional Amit Dongre.

MCA officials were present on the occasion.
