Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals met in the previous match as well, where the PBKS side toppled the Capitals, thus enforcing their exit from the tournament.
The Capitals have had a torrid season and despite their recent upsurge, it becomes another fruitless tournament for them. Punjab, on the other hand, are hanging on and a win can take them to as high as the 3rd position in the table.
The Kings are also playing their last two home games in Dharamshala, and the mountainous conditions there will be a bit different from the rest of the country. It promises to be an exciting encounter as the team from Delhi would love to inflict a season-ending defeat on the Punjab Kings.
But in terms of form and overall morale, it seems Punjab Kings may just manage to pull off another win and stay alive in the IPL 2023.
The two Northern sides have met 31 times in the IPL. Punjab Kings are only ahead by a whisker as they have won 16 matches, compared to Delhi Capitals' 15.
