Punjab Kings are up against Gujarat Titans in Match 4 of the IPL 2026 on Tuesday (March 31) as the two teams lock horns at the Maharaja Yadavindra Stadium in New Chandigarh.
After a stellar campaign last season, which saw them qualify for the final, Shreyas Iyer-led PBKS will be aiming for a winning start. The Titans, under Shubman Gill, had a disappointing one last term but they have every opportunity to start afresh in this new campaign.

Date: Tuesday, March 31
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Venue: Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur
Captains: Shreyas Iyer (PBKS), Shubman Gill (GT)
Punjab Kings have a strong squad coming into this season. They preserved their core from last season and has a full strength side to compete this term. Iyer will be pivotal again with the bat, whereas the likes of Priyansh Arya, Shashank Singh are expected to start. Yuzvendra Chahal will lead their spin attack and Marco Jansen and Arshdeep Singh are set to spearhead the pace. In terms of the foreigners, Jansen is a certainty, Marcus Stoinis and Afghanistan's Azmatullah Omarzai are likely to play as well. Cooper Connolly, one of the new signings, will bat at no.3, as it was confirmed.
For the Titans, Shubman Gill's batting and captaincy is a crucial factor. They have a good unit and a balanced squad, but picking the foreigners may well be tricky. Despite his lack of runs, England's Jos Buttler is likely to start. Rashid Khan will have the spin duties while Kagiso Rabada is set to spearhead their pace attack. Uncapped Indian player Ashok Sharma can be a surprise inclusion, maybe as Impact Player. Glenn Phillips, the New Zealand star, is set to feature as well.
