Mohali, May 2: Punjab Kings (PBKS) will look to do the double and continue their winning run when they host Mumbai Indians in match 46 of IPL 2023 at the PCA Stadium in Mohali on Wednesday (May 3).
Shikhar Dhawan’s PBKS will look to carry on the winning momentum following their fifth victory of the season over Chennai Super Kings, while Rohit Sharma-led MI will look to make it two wins in a row following recent result versus Rajasthan Royals.

Both teams are in the middle of the IPL 2023 points table and will be desperate for a win to stay alive in the playoff race. PBKS will be a confident side heading into the match thanks to the reverse fixture win
But, the visitors have a decent record in this fixture over the years when the match is played away from home as they have been a successful side on their visits to PCA Stadium.
In the 30 meetings between the two sides in IPL since 2008, it’s all square as MI and PBKS have both won 15 times each. In the last 6 meetings, PBKS has won four times, including the reverse fixture earlier this season.
In the reverse fixture, PBKS rode on Sam Curran and Arshdeep Singh Brilliance to seal a 13-run win. Rohit, Suryakumar Yadav and Cameron Green’s knocks for MI went in vain.
In the 8 previous meetings at the PCA Stadium in Mohali, it’s all square once again as both Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings have won 4 times each. The last meeting in Mohali between the two sides came back in 2019.
