PBKS vs RR IPL 2024: Four Batters who may score Most Runs in Punjab Kings vs Rajasthan Royals Match 27

Punjab Kings are set to lock horns against top-placed Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024 on Saturday (April 13). The match will be played at the Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur.

Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals both are coming on the back of a defeat in this match. PBKS lost agonizingly against Sunrisers Hyderabad, whereas the Royals lost in the very last ball against Gujarat Titans.

PBKS vs RR - The Batters

Punjab Kings do have a decent batting unit. Apart from their seasoned campaigners like Shikhar Dhawan, Jonny Bairstow and Liam Livingstone, the uncapped Indian players have played a monumental role this season. Shashank Singh, Ashutosh Sharma along with Prabhsimran Singh make the Punjab side a robust batting unit with multifaceted ability along the ranks.

Rajasthan do possess a blockbuster batting unit. From top to number 6, they have superstars galore in the lineup. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Josh Buttler and Sanju Samson provide them with a concoction of batting dynamics, while Riyan Parag, Shimron Hetmyer and Dhruv Jurel provide sheer hitting ability in the middle order.

PBKS vs RR IPL 2024 - Four Players Who May Score Most Runs

Josh Buttler (RR): Josh Buttler has found his rhythm with the bat and will be keen to continue his prowess. The Englishman announced himself in the IPL 2024 with a century against RCB after a series of nonsignificant scores. He has scored 435 runs with an average of more than 36 against PBKS over the years. Buttler provides Rajasthan the luxury at the top and the batter can be amongst the top scorers on Saturday.

Yashasvi Jaiswal (RR): Yashasvi Jaiswal has made an underwhelming start to IPL 2024. After five matches, the southpaw has just managed 63 runs at an average of 12.6. The player has a massive reputation and he would be keen to live up to the billing. Jaiswal's free-flowing batting coupled with eye-catching shots makes him a pick every match, perhaps the Punjab tie is where he breaks the shackles.

Shikhar Dhawan (PBKS): Shikhar Dhawan has a fantastic batting record in IPL, which excels against Rajasthan Royals. The batter has amassed 679 in 24 innings against RR, with an average excess of 32. He has scored 7 fifties against the Royals in IPL, with the highest score being 86 which came in Punjab Kings colours last year. Dhawan's form this season isn't bad either and the veteran is tipped to be in contention to score big.

Shashank Singh (PBKS): Shashank Singh has grabbed the IPL opportunity with both hands and has become an essential part of the PBKS zigsaw. The 32-year-old won Punjab a crucial match with an excellent knock of 61 runs against Gujarat Titans. He has backed that up with another fantastic display against SRH, although the Kings ended up on the losing side. Given Shashank's consistency this season, he can be among the highest run-getters against Rajasthan Royals.
