Sanju Samson has been playing only as an Impact Player for the Rajasthan Royals so far in the Indian Premier League 2025 season.
And Rajasthan's next match in the IPL 2025 is Today (April 5) against Punjab Kings at the Mullanpur Stadium.

PBKS have had an impressive start to their campaign, securing victories in their opening two matches and currently leading the points table. In contrast, RR have experienced a mixed run, winning only one of their first three games and aiming to improve their standings in this encounter.
A significant development for RR is the return of Sanju Samson as the team's captain and wicketkeeper. After undergoing finger surgery last month, Samson has been cleared by the National Cricket Academy (NCA) medical team to resume full duties. He had participated in the initial matches solely as a batsman, with Riyan Parag stepping in as the stand-in captain.
Samson flew to Bengaluru after the CSK match and has now been cleared by the BCCI medical staff to keep wickets. It inevitably means that the Kerala-born is back as captain for the Royals as well.
Samson expressed his enthusiasm about returning to his leadership role, stating, "To be honest, I am very happy and excited to be back and to be fully fit, to keep wickets, to play as a normal player."
The Indian player has so far had a decent outing with the bat, scoring 99 runs in the first three matches. It is to be seen how Samson's return as captain galvanizes the Royals outfit as they take on an in-form Punjab side.
