Punjab Kings host Sunrisers Hyderabad in match 23 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on Tuesday (April 9) at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh.
PBKS, who pulled off a stunning win in the absence of one of their key players, will look to make their new home a fortress, having won their first outing at the venue against Delhi Capitals.

Shikhar Dhawan's side had bounced back from successive defeats against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Lucknow Super Giants with a victory over Gujarat Titans in their most recent outing. PBKS achieved the victory without the services of star all-rounder Liam Livingstone.
Livingstone missed the match due to an hamstring issue which he picked up in PBKS' previous match against LSG in Lucknow. The England star, who picked up the injruy when fielding, was forced to leave the field immediately, but came out to bat later in the match.
Although he walked out to bat, that injury seemed to have hampered the England all-rounders batting and running between the wickets, resulting in him sitting out the last match.
Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza took Livingstone's spot in the clash against GT, but it was Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma, who saw the Punjab Kings home in a 200-run chase. Raza contributed less than a run-a-ball 15, and conceded 22 in his 2 overs in the match.
With Raza not taking the chance and Livingstone likely to be fit for the match, PBKS may be tempted to make a change immediately for the clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mullanpur tonight.
Liam Livingstone injury update: The England all-rounder was seen in training, having recovered from the hamstring issue. However, there has been no official update from the team.
If fit, Livingstone will straight away come in as replacement for Raza or PBKS may also think of playing the England star in place of his compatriot Jonny Bairstow in the playing 11. There is also a big chance for PBKS to rest him for another game rather than rushing him back.
In all likelihood Livingstone will come in as a like-for-like replacement for Raza in the playing 11 just like how the Zimbawe star all-rounder came in for the English star in PBKS' last match.
