The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has addressed the rumours of Jason Gillespie getting sacked as the Pakistan head coach on Sunday (November 17).
There were multiple reports which suggested Gillespie's term as Pakistan's head coach across all formats has come to an end.

However, the PCB has released a statement on social media contrary to the reports, suggesting that the Australian shall remain at the helm. Gillespie, originally just appointed as Test coach, took over the interim duty as limited-overs head coach for Pakistan in their tour to Australia.
The results were not bad either as Mohammad Rizwan and co. won the ODI series against the Aussies, marking their first bilateral series win in Australia for more than two decades. Before that, they won the Test series at home against England as well.
But with Aaqib Javed set to be named as the head coach for Pakistan, reports suggested Gillespie's term will be cut short as their Test coach. Reports also suggested that the Australian was approached for taking the limited overs role as well, but without any pay rise. Gillespie was not ready to accept that and eventually, PCB was tipped to release him of all duties.
But the PCB has taken a stance on the rumours, suggesting that Gillespie will continue as their head coach in the longer format of the game.
"PCB strongly refutes the story. As announced previously, Jason Gillespie will continue to coach the Pakistan side for the two red-ball matches against South Africa," a statement from PCB read.
Pakistan's next red ball assignment is in South Africa as they will play the Proteas in a two-match Test series. Before the Test series which starts on December 26, they will play 3 T20Is as well.
