PCB hopeful about ODI series in Bangladesh

By Super Admin

Lahore, Mar. 17: Despite growing security concerns, the Pakistan Cricket Board is hopeful about the scheduled one-day series in Bangladesh taking place.

PCB COO Saleem Altaf said he has been in constant touch with Bangladeshi cricket officials, and the new dates would be finalized soon.

"The BCB is expected to get back to us this evening with information on the new itinerary (of the tour). I have a fair inkling that the tour will be confirmed soon," The Nation quoted Altaf, as saying.

Altaf also said that the BCB has assured him that it will come out with something concrete on Pakistan's tour to Bangladesh.

Pakistan was scheduled to tour Bangladesh from March 7 to play five ODIs and two Twenty20 games, but BCB postponed the tour on the government's instruction following the terrorist attack on Lankan cricketers in lahore.

Media reports last week suggested that the tour would get underway from March 28, but would be reduced to three one-dayers.
