PCB inspects Green Park Stadium

Kanpur, Sep 18 (UNI) Ahead of the November 12 India-Pakistan One Day International (ODI) at the famous Green Park Stadium here, a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) delegation today took stock of the security arrangements at the arena.

PCB Director Zakir Khan and Pakistan's home ministry official Sohail Khan inspected the stadium.

BCCI vice-president and UP Cricket Association (UPCA) secretary Rajiv Shukla accompanied the PCB delegation.

''Although good, the pitch surface is slightly tough. I expect it would be repaired within time,'' Mr Khan later told mediapersons.

He said ''I will hand over my report to PCB.'' He claimed that during the previous Indo-Pak match here, Pakistani guests had to face a lot of inconvenience.

''The issue had been brought to Mr Shukla's notice,'' Khan informed.

The Pakistan delegation also had discussions with the administrative officials regarding security arrangements during the much awaited India-Pakistan ODI face-off.
