Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi has given some important updates on the stadium inauguration ahead of the Champions Trophy.

The much-anticipated revamp of Gaddafi Stadium has been completed on schedule, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to officially inaugurate the modernized venue on February 7. Meanwhile, Karachi's National Stadium is also undergoing a transformation, with President Asif Ali Zardari scheduled to inaugurate it on February 11.

Everything is falling into place as Pakistan readies itself to host the world's best cricket teams for this thrilling tournament.

Gaddafi Stadium, one of Pakistan's most historic cricket venues, has been given a fresh new look. The upgrades include increased seating capacity, state-of-the-art viewing experiences, and brand-new imported seats from China that come with a 20-year warranty.

Naqvi also expressed his enthusiasm about the renovations during a press conference in Lahore.

"Pakistan is fully prepared to host all participating teams for the Champions Trophy," Naqvi stated, highlighting the upcoming inauguration of Karachi's National Stadium by President Zardari on February 11.

Naqvi also confirmed all the labourers and the officials who helped to build the stadiums in Pakistan will have lunch with the PCB officials. The labourers will also be allowed to watch a match of the tri-nation series across venues.

"There will be 2,500 labourers and their officials and we will have lunch together on February 7, then we will watch the match together on February 8," Naqvi said.

The stadiums shall be opened in the tri-nation series prior to the Champions Trophy. Pakistan will be up against New Zealand and South Africa in the series, starting from February 8.

The Champions Trophy starts in Karachi on February 19 and Pakistan will be up against New Zealand in the opening match of the ICC tournament.
