Peshawar Zalmi vs Islamabad United Live Streaming, PSL 2023 Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United will square off in match 12 of Pakistan Super League or PSL 2023 at National Stadium in Karachi on Thursday.
Peshawar Zalmi come into the game after defeating Multan Sultans but concerns remain over top-order combinations. Captain Babar Azam misfired in back-to-back second innings after scoring a half-century in the first game. His partner Mohammad Haris looked in good touch with a 9-ball cameo of 18 runs but couldn't score big after scoring 40 a match ago.
Saim Ayub cut a sorry figure too with a duck but can claim he scored a quickfire 50 earlier. The story is no dissimilar for Tom Kohler Cadmore, who flopped in two innings after announcing his arrival with a 92.
West Indian Rovman Powell showed consistency as he scored a quick 36 down the order after scoring 20-odd runs in the game prior. James Neesham showed form as well with a 36-run knock and was the man of the match as well after delivering 1/28 with the ball.
The franchise made some changes to their bowling line-up after they leaked runs with the likes of Arshad Iqbal, Usman Qadir coming in for Salman Irshad, and Khurram Shahzad. Leg spinner Qadir impressed with a spell of 2/26.
Senior pacer Wahab Riaz, however, was not so effective as his wicket column went empty but proved economical with a spell of 0/25.
Islamabad United, on the other hand, will look to make the most out of their in-form overseas batters Colin Munro and Rassie van Der Dussen. The duo has fired decent amount runs across their last two innings.
There's some concern over their openers as Paul Stirling and Hassan Nawaz have failed to provide a good start to Islamabad United so far. Azam Khan has been good in playing the role of a finisher and has scored 44 followed by 16 in two innings.
Skipper Shabad Khan has been a disappointment as he has been performing poorly with the bat and the ball as well. Tom Curran and Faheem Ashraf haven't been the impact player they were expected to be.
Tom Curran and Faheem Ashraf couldn't do much with the bat as well but the all-rounder duo has four wickets together in two games. Their economy rates, however, are still a concern.
Islamabad United are still missing a wicket-taker as the likes of Rumman Raees and Mohammad Wasim are not picking enough wickets so far.
Spinner Abrar Ahmed, who went wicket-less in the last game, is expected to turn things around in the coming matches with the pitches getting drier.
