Phil Hughes passed away today at a Sydney hospital, two days after he was struck on the head by a bouncer during a Sheffield Shield match.
Hughes, 25, was on 63 not out when he was hit by a Sean Abbott bouncer in the South Australia-New South Wales match at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Tuesday (November 25). He fell on the pitch unconsciousness and was taken to St Vincent Hospital in Sydney. He never regained consciousness and died on Thursday.
