Pietersen frustrated being benched by Royal Challengers Bangalore

By Super Admin

London, Apr 14 (ANI): England star and the highest-paid Royal Challengers Bangalore player, Keivn Pietersen, is frustrated at being dropped for the last three Indian Premier League matches.

Pietrsen was dropped by Royal Challengers Bangalore after being named man of the match in his most recent appearance.

Pietersen attracted the top bid of just over one million pounds in last year's IPL auction, and wants to play every game to get into form for the World Twenty20, which starts in the Caribbean this month.

"To be honest, I was surprised to be left out and it is frustrating sitting and watching because I want to play," The Sun quoted Pietersen, as saying.

"The make-up of our side is strong. We have Jacques Kallis at the top of the order then Ross Taylor and Cameron White who are pretty devastating batsmen at the end of the innings. We also have Rahul Dravid batting up the order.

"I'd love to be playing but we can play only four non-Indian players. But I think the good thing for English cricket is the likes of Paul Collingwood, Eoin Morgan and myself are out here learning," he added.

Pietersen, 29, is in line to return today against Rajasthan Royals in a match both teams need to win as they bid to reach the semi-finals. (ANI)
