He showcased his cricketing prowess by making his first-class debut for Speen Ghar Region during the 2018 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament on April 15, 2018. Continuing his promising journey, he marked his List A debut for the same team in the 2018 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One-Day Tournament on July 25, 2018. In December 2019, Ishaq's talents earned him a spot in Afghanistan's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He further solidified his presence on the international stage by representing Afghanistan in the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup held in the West Indies.
