Player Biography

Tom Moores has quietly built a reputation as one of England's most dependable white-ball wicketkeeper-batters. A left-hander capable of changing the course of an innings in a matter of overs, he combines clean ball-striking with reliable wicketkeeping and has been a mainstay of Nottinghamshire's limited-overs sides for much of his career. The son of former England head coach Peter Moores, he has carved out an identity of his own through consistent performances on the domestic circuit.

Although he made his senior debut during a brief loan spell with Lancashire, Moores established himself after returning to Nottinghamshire, where he took over the gloves from Chris Read. Initially regarded as a destructive finisher in T20 cricket, he gradually expanded his game to become a dependable performer across white-ball formats, capable of rescuing an innings as well as providing late acceleration. Those qualities have made Moores a regular on the franchise circuit. He has featured in leagues such as the BPL, LPL, SA20 and ILT20, while also representing Trent Rockets in The Hundred before joining Manchester Super Giants.
