PM congratulates Team India on winning Twenty20 World Cup

New Delhi, Sep 24 (UNI) Lavishing praise on Team India, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today congratulated the team on winning the Twenty20 Cricket World Cup.

''Team India played well and made us all proud,'' Dr Singh said in a message.

The Prime Minister watched the match with ''great interest'' and was ''impressed'' with the performance of the team led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a PMO spokesman said.

Excited by India's victory, Dr Singh advised Team India to ''keep it going.'' He also complimented Pakistan team for playing well in the final and the tournament.
