Pooja Vastrakar breaks silence after allegedly mocking Narendra Modi and BJP Leaders on Social Media

India Women cricketer Pooja Vastrakar found herself in controversy on Friday (March 29) after sharing a story on her Instagram profile.

The 24-year-old shared an image of a series of BJP leaders as a team lineup which was captioned as 'Vasooli Titans'. Along with it, her story also had an added caption as ED, which we assume is Enforcement Directorate, as the Impact Player.

She deleted the post but it got viral on social media. Half of the netizens criticized Pooja for the post and found that disrespectful. The player later took to social media again and clarified the reason for that post.

She said her phone was not with her when the image was shared and apologized for hurting the sentiments, clarifying she has the utmost respect for the Prime Minister.

"Hi. It has come to my notice that a highly objectionable image was posted from my Instagram account. This happened at a time when my phone was not in my possession. I have nothing but the utmost respect for the honourable Prime Minister and sincerely apologize for the hurt this has caused," Pooja Vastrakar said on Instagram.
