Praveen Kumar, the former India cricketer who featured in 6 Test, 69 ODI and 10 T20I matches, opened up on his love life during a recent interview. The 37-year-old revealed how he met his wife Sapna Choudhary after arriving from Australia following the Commonwealth Bank Series 2008.
He said that he was informed by one of his friends that the parents of Sapna, a national-level shooter, wanted to meet him. Reluctant Praveen Kumar went to her house and a love story soon blossomed after they got their first picture clicked together.

She saw me on TV during the CB series in Australia. He lives four lanes from my home. I had never seen her. My friend named Suraj said that Sapna's parents want to meet you. So, I wondered why should I go? I don't even know them!
"People would want to meet me back then. Anyway, I went to her home, but I did not know anyone. One of them introduced me to her as his sister. I asked, 'So, what should I do?' I got a few pictures clicked," Praveen Kumar said in an interview with The Lallantop.
Further, Praveen Kumar also talked about his courtship period when he would go to meet Sapna Choudhary in Delhi and sit in parks and restaurants around her college - Miranda House. He said that he once entered the famous Delhi University college and had coffee with her.
"I looked at her for the first time then and I liked her. Then I asked my friend for her number. She was in Delhi University's Miranda House college. She was also a shooter (women's 20m pistol). I used to roam around Miranda. I once entered inside Miranda.
"There was a madame (Rana ma'am). There was a fest at Miranda. I had coffee with her there. There is Narula's in front of Miranda. I used to sit in the park with her as well. Aunty knew but uncle was unaware," Praveen Kumar said.
Praveen Kumar and Sapna Choudhary got married in 2010 after overcoming obstacles from their families. They are now parents to two beautiful kids.
