Prithvi Shaw made his comeback to professional cricket after a gap of almost Six months. The right-hand opener was out of action from August 13 after suffering a knee injury during his county stint with Northamptonshire .
The 24-year-old subsequently underwent surgery in London, followed by three months of rehabilitation. The India international was cleared by the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru following a fitness test.

Shaw scored 35 runs off 42 balls and did not hold himself from playing his shots. His innings consisted of as many as four boundaries. He was dismissed by Bengal's 24-year-old pacer Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal.
Prithvi Shaw last featured for India during the tour of Sri Lanka in July 2021, and was last part of the squad for the home T20Is against New Zealand in 2022.
Shaw will also be seen playing for Delhi Capitals (DC) in the IPL 2024. He was retained by the franchise ahead of his poor form last season. He scored 106 runs in eight matches at an average of 13.25.
Before getting injured, he was the highest run-getter in England's domestic one-day competition, having hit 429 runs in four innings including a record-breaking 244 off 153 balls against Somerset.
Shivam Dube is leading Mumbai in the match against Baroda. The 41-time champions have won three of their four matches in the Ranji Trophy 2023-24.
