Prithvi Shaw has been reinstated in the Mumbai squad days after being dropped from the Ranji squad.
The India batter was omitted from Mumbai's Ranji Squad for the Round 4 and 5 matches as the selectors cited lack of fitness and disciplinary issues being the main concern. But the dashing opener has now made a return to Mumbai's probables list for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT).

The SMAT is India's domestic T20 tournament and it is set to start from November 23. Along with Shaw, Shreyas Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane are the other notable players, with Rahane being the likely candidate to captain the Mumbai team in the upcoming SMAT 2024.
Prithvi Shaw, who has not participated in a T20 game since his appearance in the IPL 2024, also features in the lineup. Following his stint in the IPL, Shaw took his talents to England, where he played for Northamptonshire. But amid this, the absence of Tanush Kotian raises questions as the all-rounder has been a serial performer, which also earned him a spot for India A in the Australia series.
Shardul Thakur, Shams Mulani, Angkrish Raghuvanshi are other key picks for Mumbai. Thakur will be important for Mumbai with his all-round ability while Raghuvanshi has shown his immense batting skills already with the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL.
