Bhojpuri actress and social media influencer Sapna Gill has made some shocking allegations against Prithvi Shaw and his friends after being released on bail by a magistrate court on Monday.

In an incident which took place last Wednesday outside a luxury hotel at Santacruz in Mumbai, Gill and seven others allegedly attacked Shaw and his friends after being denied a selfie with the Delhi Capitals (DC) captain.

In a viral video, Gill can be holding a baseball bat while getting into an altercation with the star cricketer. The car of Shaw's friend was also vandalised by Gill and her friends reportedly. The accused were booked under Indian Penal Code sections 143 (unlawful assembly), 148 (rioting), 387 (putting a person in fear of death or of grievous hurt in order to commit extortion) and 506 (criminal intimidation).

Sapna Gill complaint

Gill on Monday lodged a complaint against India cricketer Prithvi Shaw for allegedly "outraging her modesty". Gill's application, filed on Monday through her advocate Kaashif Ali Khan at Airport police station in Andheri, seeks an FIR against Shaw, his friend Ashish Yadav and others for alleged molestation and outraging of modesty, according to a PTI report.

"Criminal complaint registered against Prithvi Shaw, Ashish Surendra Yadav, Brijesh & others (not known to complainant) for illegal acts of molesting and outraging the modesty of Sapna Gill u/s 34, 120b, 144, 146, 148, 149, 323, 324, 351, 354 & 509 of IPC," Adv Ali Kaashif Deshmukh has said.

Sapna Gill fresh allegations

The social media influencer has now alleged that she interrupted only after her friend was being assaulted by Shaw and his friend. Gill has further added that she was beaten by a baseball bat, slapped and her private parts were touched.

"We didn't beat anyone, nor did we ask for money. They put the wrong allegations about us. I didn't ask for any selfies,” she told news agency ANI.

Sapna said she was trying to save her friend after he saw him being beaten up by the cricketer and his friends. "I went there and stopped them. My friend tried to make a video to show the proof. They beat me with a baseball after I tried to save my friend. One or two people hit me and touched my private parts, and even slapped me," she added.

According to Gill, her friend Shobhit Thakur had gone to a club on February 15 when they had seen Shaw in an allegedly inebriated condition. She has added that Shobhit is a cricket fan and hence approached the 23-year-old for a selfie which led to the ugly brawl.

"Thakur, who is just a teenager, was unaware of the brutality of the drunken mob. Thakur was helpless and was unable to defend himself. Hence, she (Gill) intervened and entered the fray trying to stop Shaw and others from further harming and injuring Thakur," as per the application, said the PTI report.

Furthermore, the application mentioned that Gill begged and pleaded with Shaw, who was "inebriated" at the time of the incident.

Gill's application alleged Shaw outraged her modesty, an offence punishable under 354 (molestation) and other provisions of the Indian Penal Code.

Prithvi Shaw Selfie Row: What police said?

According to the police, Gill and Thakur had approached Shaw for selfies, which led to an argument as the cricketer refused to oblige after a couple of photographs.

Gill and his friends had waited for Shaw and his friend outside the hotel and allegedly chased them and also broke their car's windscreen with a baseball bat.

Shaw shifted to another car on sensing the trouble while his friend Ashish drove the attacked vehicle to Oshiwara police station and lodged a complaint.
