South Delhi Superstarz opener Priyansh Arya wreaked havoc by emulating Yuvraj Singh, Kieron Pollard, and Nicholas Pooran's record and smashing six sixes in an over as his team finished at 308/5 in 20 overs against North Delhi Strikers in Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2024 on Saturday, August 31.

The total is second-highest in the history of T20 cricket. He scored 120 runs off 50 balls, smashing 10 fours and as many sixes. His partnership with Ayush Badoni accounted for 286 runs - highest for any wicket in T20 cricket.
Ayush Badoni also hammered 165 runs off 55 balls. The Lucknow Super Kings (LSG) star smashed eight fours and as many as 19 sixes. Badoni broke Chris Gayle's record for most sixes in an innings. Gayle had smashed 18 sixes in an innings while playing in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) in 2017. Overall, 31 sixes were hit in the innings, surpassing Nepal's record of 26 sixes in a single T20 innings.
Priyansh Arya is currently the highest run-scorer in Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2024. He has scored 576 runs in eight matches at an average of 82.29 and a strike rate of 195.25. He has hit four fifties and two hundreds so far. Badoni is behind him with 515 runs.
The 23-year-old brought up his hundred off just 40 balls. His red hot form is very likely to land him an IPL deal for the upcoming season. Eyes will be on him during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 (BCCI's domestic T20 tournament) which will be held from November 23 to January 18.
South Delhi Superstarz look all set to defend and beat North Delhi Strikers in the ongoing match to go on top of the DPL 2024 points table. East Delhi Riders are currently leading the chart with six wins in seven matches. South Delhi will also have 12 points after eight matches, but will have a better Net Run Rate (NRR).
