Priyansh Arya scored a magnificent maiden IPL hundred in the ongoing IPL 2025 match between Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday (April 8).
Opening the innings for PBKS, Arya wasted no time asserting his dominance. From the very first delivery, he signaled his intent by dispatching the ball to the boundary with authority. His innings was a masterclass in aggressive batting, characterized by a series of audacious strokes that left the CSK bowlers scrambling for answers.

The highlight of Arya's innings was his onslaught against seasoned off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. In a particularly punishing over, Arya amassed 21 runs, bringing up his half-century with a towering six that sailed deep into the stands. This milestone, achieved in just 19 balls, mirrored the record set by KL Rahul against the same opposition in 2019. But the southpaw continued his dominance despite losing wickets on the other side.
Arya got to his hundred with three sixes and a four off Matheesha Pathirana. He dismantled the Sri Lanka pacer and brought up the hundred in style.
Priyansh Arya also became the 2nd fastest Indian player to score a century.
30 - Chris Gayle (RCB) vs PWI, Bengaluru, 2013
37 - Yusuf Pathan (RR) vs MI, Mumbai BS, 2010
38 - David Miller (KXIP) vs RCB, Mohali, 2013
39 - Travis Head (SRH) vs RCB, Bengaluru, 2024
39 - Priyansh Arya (PBKS) vs CSK, Mullapur, 2025
Priyansh Arya also became the fastest Indian player to score a hundred for the Punjab Kings. David Miller holds the record of the fastest for PBKS during their Kings XI Punjab days.
