Former New Zealand bowler and current commentator Simon Doull has landed himself at the centre of social media talk yet again in the PSL, this time with his comments on Pakistan cricketer Hasan Ali's wife Samiya Arzoo.

In a thrilling PSL 2023 match between Islamabad United and Multan Sultans, the Islamabad franchise won the match after chasing 205 runs with a ball to spare. But a clip has gone viral from the match where Doull was left stunned by the beautiful spouse of Hasan Ali.

Did Simon Doull court controversy in PSL 2023?

The pair tied the knot back in 2019 and Samiya has been spotted in the stadium supporting her husband in the ongoing PSL.

During the flag end of the game, as the camera focused on Samiya Arzoo, the Kiwi commentator was floored by the stunning Samiya, and made some comments on air amid the match, which has stormed social media yet again.

As the camera focused Samiya, Doull was heard saying, "She has won it. She has won a few hearts as well I believe. That is superb, absolutely stunning. And the victory."

The other commentators were left to splits by Doull's comments and the video has gone viral on social media since.

Doull criticised Babar Azam's intent

This is not the first time Simon Doull has found himself in the middle of some social media frenzy this PSL. Recently he criticised Babar Azam and told the Pakistan batter values personal milestones a lot more than the team. Doull's comments created a wave of criticism and he received an array of feedback across Pakistan for his comments.

In PSL this season, Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United have already qualified for the playoffs, while Karachi Kings are crashed out of the tournament. There are two playoff spots remaining and Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators are in the race.
