PSL 2024: Watch - 'Lightning Quick!' Azam Khan Makes Father Moin Khan Proud with Stunning Stumping

In a match against Islamabad United (PSL) in 2024, Azam Khan, son of former Pakistan cricketer Moin Khan, showcased his impeccable skills behind the stumps. In the 3rd over on a 4th ball, Seifert made a bit of room and tried to hit it over the covers but lost his balance in the process.

Azam Khan's sharp glovework caught Seifert's back foot outside the crease. The young wicketkeeper impressed everyone with his lightning-quick stumping that left his father proud.

Then, Azam was also involved in a run-out of Shoaib Malik. Shadab's throw was collected by Azam who took the bails off when Malik was trying to plonk his bat inside the crease. Malik's wicket was crucial because he usually plays an anchor role for Karachi and allows the rest of the batters to go hard at the bowlers.

Then again, when Karachi Kings were trying to accelerate, Azam's catch behind the stumps at the bowling of Naseem got out Nawaz. It was a soft dismissal which came in the 14th over and put the brakes on the scoring rate.

The highlight of Azam's performance has been widely shared on social media, and he received widespread praise from fans, pundits, and fellow cricketers. Many drew comparisons between Azam and his father, highlighting the obvious talent that runs in the family. It must be a proud moment for the former cricketer to witness his son's prowess matching or even surpassing his own.

Nevertheless, Karachi Kings finished the innings on a strong note. They scored 62 runs in the last four overs, but they might be just below par on a decent surface. It's going to be a fascinating chase to witness. Islamabad United are desperate for a win after losing three games on the trot and Karachi Kings wants to climb up at the points table.
