As we are heading closer to the start of the 9th season of PSL. The 2020 champions will be looking to get their hands on the coveted trophy this season. The Franchise decided to make significant changes this time, after being unable to make it to the play-offs consecutively.

The change started with the leadership, Shan Masood replacing Imad Wasim as a captain this season. After, a not-so-successful outing for the last few seasons, King's would be relying heavily on their top-order featuring James Vince, Shan Masood and Tim Seifert.

For power hitting, they picked seasoned power-hitter Kieron Pollard who has an impressive strike rate of 163 in PSL, so far. The bowling department, however, has some chinks in the Armour. With the departure of Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim and the absence of a genuine leg-spinner will not sit well with the Karachi Kings.

This will exert further responsibility on the shoulders of Hasan Ali and Mohammad Nawaz, both playing for the first time for King's in their PSL career. However, the biggest challenge Karachi Kings are facing right now is the unavailability of international players.

Tabraiz Shamsi, South Africa spinner will be available for the first six matches, after that he'll depart the PSL. The English allrounder Jamie Overton has been pulled out of the entire season due to his prior commitment to his county, Surrey.
