Karachi Kings vs Islamabad United, PSL 2024: Islamabad United returned to winning ways after losing three matches on the go as they defeated hosts Karachi Kings by seven wickets and 9 balls to spare at the National Stadium in Karachi on Wednesday (February 28).

Shadab Khan | Islamabad Captain: "When you win, sometimes your mistakes are covered. Lovely win, nice how the team picked up after the loss in the last game. We were not up to the mark in our fielding. We have to put more energy in the field. As a bowling unit we were very good. Sometimes you go for runs but if we field better it's a different ball game."

Colin Munro | Player of the Match: "Was not a great start of the tournament, could've taken it to the end in the last game and in this one too but nice to get the win. We've had a strong batting line-up over the years, it's about going out there and getting the runs. Wickets haven't been as flat as before but it's about adapting. Just tried to play each ball on its merit. Top performance from us today, thought our bowlers were lot better."

Shan Masood | Karachi captain: "You always feel 15-20 short when you lose the game. Thought that anything over 170 would be a good score. Surface was quite crumbly and we thought it might be a tricky surface with no dew around. Today was an ideal opportunity to assert ourselves but unfortunately we could not do it.

"Don't think there are any areas of concern. Would like to take more responsibility as the top order. Had to chop and change today because of the stomach bug going around. Need to give the new guys some time to settle. When you lose, you know you make a lot of mistakes and you want to correct them as quickly as possible."
