PSL 2024: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is all set to commence on February 17, 2024. Lahore Qalandars, two-time winners and reigning champions will lock horns with Islamabad United in the opening match.

The match will occur at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Saturday at 2:30 PM (Local), and 2:30 PM (GMT). Here, we'll look at the three top players from Lahore Qalandars, who can create an impact throughout the PSL 2024.

Shaheen Afridi

Shaheen Shah Afridi, skipper of the squad is undoubtedly the star player. Throughout his playing days, he has been a prominent left-arm fast-medium for his country and franchises. However, he also emerged as an all-rounder lately. Before the last year (2023) PSL edition, Afridi had just one score of 20-plus runs in his T20 career.

In that tournament, he scored 40-plus runs twice, 52 against Peshawar Zalmi during the league stage and in the final against the Sultans, he scored an unbeaten 44 off 15 balls.

Sikandar Raza

Sikandar Raza just joined the Lahore Qalandars in last year's edition and made an impact as an all-rounder. He showed his prowess with both the bat and the ball by scoring (223 runs in 12 matches) with the highest score of 71 runs off 34 balls. Took 4 wickets in the tournament with the best bowling figures of 2/6. His role in the Qalandars becomes much more crucial after the news of Rashid Khan's unavailability for the entire campaign.

Fakhar Zaman

Fakhar Zaman has been associated with the Lahore Qalandars since 2017.
Zaman's numbers speak for themselves, he is the highest run scorer ( 2413 runs in 77 matches) for the franchise by large margins. He's got 2 centuries and 18 fifties to his name with a career average of 31.75 and a strike rate of 141.94 for his franchise.
