Lahore Qalandars vs Multan Sultans, PSL 2024: Lahore Qalandars' PSL season went worse to worst as the side slumped to their second consecutive loss as Multan Sultans dismantled the two-time defending champions by 60 runs at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Tuesday.

In response, Lahore Qalandars kept themselves in the chase with some quick scoring in the powerplay but Multan spinners Usama Mir (6/40) and Faisal Akram (2/25) put the game beyond any doubt.

Mohammad Rizwan | MS captain: "This was a good batting deck. It started to spin as the match progressed. We wanted to execute our plans, that's what we did today. We are playing with a champion's mindset. There's always room for improvement."

Usman Khan | Player of the Match: "I wanted to bat long. When things got tough, I focused on singles and doubles. Once I got to my fifty, I played my shots. Iftikhar is one of the best finishers and I wanted to give him the strike."

Shaheen Afridi | LQ captain: "Firstly, I would like to thank the crowd. They have supported Lahore and good cricket. They have also come out in large numbers. We were unlucky in the first five matches. Today, we lacked effort with bat and ball.

"Credit to Multan, they played really well and deserved to win this match. We've had a few injuries, that's why we are changing our team for every match. We have won PSL twice, we won't give up, four matches left and we'll try to play good cricket."
Usama Mir: "First away game, the conditions were new. Rizwan gave me the confidence in the middle overs, he told me to try and take wickets and not worry about the runs. I enjoyed all the wickets.

"I conceded a couple of sixes in the first over. My mother was here watching me and I knew that I could make a comeback. Rizwan backed me, he had a smile on his face and told me that I would pick wickets. Our team is like a family, we are enjoying each others' success, there's unity."
