Multan Sultans vs Lahore Qalandars, PSL 2024: Multan Sultans posted their third win on the trot on Wednesday (February 21) as they defeated Lahore Qalandars in a thrilling encounter by five wickets at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Lahore.

Mohammad Rizwan, Multan Sultans captain and Player of the Match: "I made some mistake. Never expected it would seam and swing so much. Iftikhar told us if we don't lose wickets in the powerplay, we will chase it. There wasn't enough turn when our spinners bowled. Iftikhar is one of the top finishers in the world in my opinion. Catches have been going down at this venue. It's not only us but even Islamabad dropped catches in the last game."

Shaheen Afridi | Lahore captain: "I think that catch I should have taken. We didn't execute our plans at the end. Still 7 games to go. We haven't executed our fielding plans. Iftikhar Ahmed and Khushdil are the best finishers in the country. We played good cricket but didn't take our chances."

Iftikhar Ahmed: "It's the same role I have in Pakistan. I prepare for that. We don't have time in T20s, one side was short here and the plan was to go after it from ball one. I was planning this sitting outside, I was telling our staff that when Zaman is bowling I will go.

"We play a lot of these bowlers during the nets. I'm fulfilling my role in the team, but there is a lot of improvement in this team, we dropped a lot of catches tonight and we need to fix that if we have to be champions. The crowd always supports us. We have to take this momentum forward till the end."
